We are genuine people, 100% focused on showing you a great time and have great private wilderness land, hunting partnerships and have concessions for some exceptional public land. We are a small hunting business dedicated to you (our clients) while you are hunting with us. Every animal we hunt is different we believe, as is every hunter we guide, so we tailor trips to your hunting needs and methods. We would appreciate the opportunity to share our slice of paradise with you and to help you create some amazing hunting memories to take home.
Owner/Operator - Simon Fowler
Simon is the outfitter, guide, and host at Wild Places Wild Game. He was born and bred in the South Island of New Zealand and it was inevitable that Simon would develop a passion for hunting, given his families long history as hunters. With over 20 years of hunting experience, he is a true Kiwi (New Zealand) hunter. As well as having an intimate knowledge of South Island wilderness areas, Simon is a skilled and highly experienced hunter whose focus is on safety and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Tailoring trips to our client’s needs is our speciality, if a species you want to hunt is not on our list, that’s not a problem for us, we have associates we can contact to organise those species as part of your package with us. We are fortunate to have some amazing properties to hunt as well as a variety of big game species here in New Zealand. Free Range hunting is our speciality, although we have estate blocks available if required.
HELPER- Cook - John
John is Simon’s father and is the reason we are so passionate about hunting. John is semi-retired and comes along on a lot of the hunts to help wherever he can, be that cooking, cleaning, or dropping us off and picking us up. Meaning we get to spend more time hunting and less time in camp. John has hunted most of his life and has some great stories to tell of past adventures.
